Alaskan artist Jacquie Coté Suter
Jacquie Coté Suter, born and raised in the Michigan countryside, learned to look at and appreciate nature at an early age. She studied art history in Perugia, Italy, and earned an Associate degree in Fine Art and a Certificate in Commercial Art in Lansing, Michigan. Upon graduation in 1981, she moved to Alaska and began selling original watercolors as quickly as she could paint them.
Watercolor is a medium that Jacquie finds most challenging. Her subjects include the Alaska Railroad, Alaska Aviation, seascapes, boats, glaciers, landscapes, and florals. Many of these unique watercolors are available with matching Alaska fine-silver medallions embedded in the matting.
